1.)  How do I get service?
1. If you have a firewall, be ready to allow our connection program through, or simply disable the firewall in advance.
2. Click the orange "add to cart" button on the upper right of the MyNerds.com web site and checkout using either PayPal, or checkout as a "guest" using a credit card. (The "check out" one is the left button in the new window if you don't have or wish to use PayPal)
3. After you checkout you will see a notification stating that the payment has been completed. Next, click the red button on MyNerds.com (at the upper right underneath the PayPal logo) to allow our connection software to run and connect to a My Nerds technician.
4. That's all! Just sit back and watch us fix your PC. If you have any problems with payment or connecting please call call us at 1-800-700-NERD(6373). Also please call us if you can't get online at all, or just have any questions about our service not covered in this faq. You can also email at info@mynerds.com

2.)  What are the requirements for you to fix my PC remotely?
You simply need an internet connection and the ability to power up the computer. If not, just call us at 1-800-700-NERD(6373) and we can fix it over the phone.

3.)  What if I get disconnected during the session?
A technician may have rebooted your computer to repair it, if so it will automatically reconnect. If you do get disconnected or your computer can't get back online call us at 1-800-700-NERD(6373).

4.)  Can the software be uninstalled at the end of the tech support service?
It automatically removes itself after disconnecting from the My Nerds technician, and will not be able to be used again.

5.)  Can you fix my brand of computer?
We can fix any PC. Sorry, no Macs at this time.

6.)  What if you can't fix it because it turns out to be broken hardware?
Our Nerds technician will make suggestions to repair your computer. If it is a simple item you could purchase yourself we will help you install it with no additional charge. If this is the outcome of the initial troubleshooting call, you must always unplug the PC and everything connected to it before opening the case. If the faulty component is a motherboard or power supply you will have to have your PC serviced by a local repair technician. There is no charge if it turns out to be anything our Nerds can't fix, and refunds are given immediately. We sell no hardware so you can always be assured of the integrity of our guidance about computer components.
